Dear Friend:

As 2011 comes to a close, I want to update you on my work for you in Annapolis since the last Session and to ask for your help.

As you know from your own experience, these are very challenging times. Therefore, I am not going to hold a fundraising event before the 2012 legislative session begins. I am, however, asking for your financial support.

I am proud to represent the 42nd District and continue to work hard for our residents, businesses and neighborhoods. I have fought, and will to fight for small businesses and to create jobs, to protect our environment, and strengthen education.  During the past months, as your Delegate, I have:

•     Helped constituents obtain their veterans’ benefits, health care coverage and unemployment
•     Worked for neighborhoods to tackle environmental problems
•     Worked with parents to get funds for a much needed addition to Stoneleigh Elementary School
•     Initiated efforts to get  air conditioning at Pikesville High School
•     Helped constituents get meaningful responses from BGE after Irene and Lee
•     Got a commitment from BGE to develop a plan to prevent unpredictable power outages
•     Helped recreation council leaders find additional space for baseball, soccer and other sports programs
•     Co-chaired the task force to find a better way to choose a Baltimore County Board of Education that is accountable
•     Served on the Governor’s task force that addressed sprawl growth, pollution of the Chesapeake Bay and the loss of farmland
•     Served on the Governor’s Commission to support private investment in public projects so that infrastructure needs can be addressed

There is much more to be done. I ask for your financial help. Before the end of the year, can you contribute $250, $100, $50, or $20? No amount is too small.
